Clinical Informatics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of EHR reporting and analytics solutions by collecting business requirements, documenting specifications, identifying suitable data sources, and generating reports, including those derived from the Epic Tapestry data model, for stakeholders.

• Analyze and document future-state reporting specifications along with application reporting capabilities.

• Convert business inquiries and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects.

• Collect, document, prioritize, and manage requirements in collaboration with stakeholders at various levels.

• Estimate development timelines and handle multiple competing tasks while adhering to deadlines.

• Oversee the resolution of escalated issues.

• Identify, document, resolve, or escalate issues while keeping a comprehensive issues log.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare-related organization.

• At least 5 years of proven proficiency in MS SQL Server or Oracle, with strong SQL programming skills.

• Epic Clarity Data Model certification in one or more modules (EpicCare Inpatient, Hospital Billing, Prelude ADT, Radiant, Willow, or OpTime).

• Experience in developing reports utilizing the Epic Tapestry data model.

• Understanding of data warehouse concepts, data structures, and reporting methodologies.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects architecture, functionalities, features, and capabilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare reporting best practices, workflows, policies, procedures, and systems.

• Experience in Quality Measures Reporting is preferred.

• Epic build experience in a live setting is preferred.

• Epic implementation experience specifically related to clinical workflows and order management is preferred.
