This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Interpreting results from diagnostic tests
• Reviewing and summarizing pertinent medical literature
• Evaluating and summarizing clinical information
• Highly skilled in variant classification standards
• Adhering to report generation protocols to fulfill quality and turnaround time requirements
• Assisting with technical troubleshooting as necessary
• Contributing to the development of guidelines
• Aiding in the training of new Clinical Genomic Scientists
• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related scientific discipline, or an MS in Genetic Counseling from an accredited institution, or an MS in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a similar field of study
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: primary genetics literature review, variant classification, genetic evidence summary writing, clinical report drafting, or sequencing result analysis
• Comprehensive and ongoing understanding of contemporary theories and principles in human genetics
• Capability to comprehend and assess genetic data and literature
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Passion and capability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing methods, including next-generation and Sanger sequencing, microarray, and MLPA
