Clinical Director – Advocacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily clinical operations for telehealth physicians catering to Medicare patients with chronic and intricate conditions.

• Act as the primary escalation point for challenging clinical cases.

• Take charge of physician recruitment, establish hiring standards, and create onboarding and training initiatives.

• Design workflows, pathways, and protocols for physician evaluations and collaborative care planning with advocates.

• Manage quality assurance and improvement programs concerning patient visits and documentation.

• Draft policies that ensure compliance across various states.

• Collaborate with the Data team to define physician KPIs and provide coaching based on performance metrics.

• Convert clinical requirements into strategic priorities for Product, Growth, and Care Operations.

• Continue to conduct a portion of direct patient visits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license.

• Board certification in internal medicine, family medicine, or geriatrics.

• Preferably licensed in over 30 states.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience managing other physicians in a medical director role or similar capacity.

• Proven history of building and nurturing clinical teams.

• At least 5 years of direct patient care experience.

• Experience with older adult populations is preferred.

• Ability to make decisions independently, adapt quickly, and change direction when warranted by evidence.

• Skilled at conveying clinical insights to non-clinical stakeholders.

• Experience in a startup or digital health environment is advantageous.

• Comfortable working independently.
