Clinical Development Liaison – Neuromuscular Diseases

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and nurture scientific relationships with KOLs, investigators, study coordinators, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams throughout the Benelux region.

• Convey scientific information regarding neuromuscular diseases, clinical development programs, pipeline assets, and clinical trials.

• Assist in Clinical Advisory Boards, Investigator Meetings, and scientific exchange activities.

• Represent the organization at national and international congresses, scientific meetings, and educational events.

• Collaborate with patient advocacy groups and support approved patient engagement initiatives.

• Identify and evaluate potential investigators and clinical trial sites in the Netherlands and Belgium.

• Build and maintain networks of neuromuscular specialists, referral centers, and clinical research stakeholders.

• Support site feasibility, study start-up, and strategies for investigator engagement.

• Provide scientific and operational support during the activation and initiation of sites.

• Work alongside investigators and study teams to enhance patient identification and enrollment strategies.

• Facilitate referral pathways and collaborations among healthcare institutions and specialist centers.

• Identify recruitment challenges and implement effective solutions.

• Leverage disease-area expertise and site insights to optimize recruitment and patient retention.

• Coordinate interactions between investigators, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, CROs, and internal stakeholders.

• Collect and communicate field insights to aid in study execution and strategic decision-making.

• Provide timely updates after site engagements and interactions with investigators.

• Identify opportunities for scientific collaborations, publications, and Investigator-Initiated Studies.

• Conduct activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, and company policies.

• Complete necessary compliance and training activities within specified timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or clinical research sectors.

• Prior experience in supporting clinical trials and engaging with investigators and healthcare professionals.

• Experience in Neuromuscular Diseases and/or Rare Diseases is essential.

• Strong comprehension of clinical research processes, including study start-up, site management, patient recruitment, and study execution.

• Proven track record of establishing long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, investigators, and key external stakeholders.

• Exceptional scientific communication and presentation abilities.

• Strong organizational, influencing, and project management skills.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional and international teams.

• Previous experience in Clinical Development Liaison, Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Operations, Clinical Research, or Medical Affairs roles is highly advantageous.

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, and occasionally within Europe (approximately 50–70%).

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Fluency in Dutch and/or French is strongly preferred.

• Additional European languages are considered beneficial.

• Candidates must reside in the Netherlands or Belgium.
