This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the negotiations for clinical study budgets with various clinical study sites (e.g., hospitals) across multiple clinical trials.
• Draft and negotiate site clinical trial budgets along with any necessary budget amendments.
• Serve as a vital link between the Clinical Research and Legal Departments. Submit contract requests for both clinical and investigator-sponsored studies, ensuring follow-up with all internal and external stakeholders until completion.
• Provide regular updates to management concerning site start-up progress and its strategic implications. Communicate any potential or actual delays and suggest actions to meet project timelines.
• Deliver consistent updates to the clinical project manager and other study personnel.
• Proactively identify potential challenges that may surface during budget and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate closely with the Legal team to manage timelines and expectations for new and evolving clinical studies on a continual basis.
• Comply with the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Be knowledgeable about security, privacy, and compliance principles, adhering to the applicable regulations, standards, and procedures of the Company.
• Ensure that other department members adhere to the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Carry out additional work-related tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field with over 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational capabilities along with demonstrated proficiency in word processing and database creation and management are essential skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of work and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment is crucial.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
• Creative problem-solving skills are highly valued.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
