Clinical Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Works in partnership with clients and account managers to assess client’s clinical program objectives, including enhancements in generic dispensing rates, the launch of utilization management programs, increases in medication adherence rates, improvements in therapy gaps for significant chronic conditions, formulary compliance goals, and HEDIS and NCQA metrics.

• Delivers exceptional clinical consultation and clinical account management with an emphasis on client satisfaction, retention, and management of trends.

• Understands and effectively articulates the value proposition of formulary and clinical programs to clients.

• Suggests and implements clinical programs for clients aimed at achieving cost savings for both clients and their members.

• Remains informed about market trends and offers clinical market intelligence to clients.

• Provides clients with drug information and addresses plan-specific clinical questions.

• Collaborates with account management to guide the clinical components of client quarterly reviews (QBRs), including quarterly spending, trends, and benchmark updates regarding pharmacy benefits.

• Capable of integrating treatment and practice guidelines into client presentations, including opportunities for up-selling.

• Analyzes data and interprets drug benefit designs while clearly communicating analytical and reporting requirements to support teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s and Advanced Degree in Pharmacy, RPh or Pharm D.

• Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license (valid in any state).

• Over 5 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.

• A minimum of 3 years of working knowledge in healthcare benefits, account management, pharmacy benefits, or commercial health insurance is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role with external clients (beyond patients and prescribers) is required.

• Executive-level communication skills (including the ability to develop and deliver formal presentations) and interpersonal skills are essential.

• A strong commitment to customer experience and satisfaction.

• A passion for collaboratively solving complex problems with the broader team.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a diverse, cross-functional team.

• Self-motivated, results-driven work ethic with a positive attitude.

• Capacity to take initiative with minimal guidance.

• An empathetic communicator with a consultative approach, able to appreciate perspectives from others.
