
Clinical Account Executive – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic business relationships with Oncology departments and practices.
• Enhance awareness of product benefits and risks in alignment with the approved label.
• Generate new business opportunities, optimize resource utilization, and expand sales and market share.
• Comprehend and address customer needs while establishing relationships that yield market insights.
• Collaborate with in-house and cross-franchise leaders to design and modify compliant programs and initiatives.
• Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations utilizing approved data.
• Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts within the designated geography.
• Work alongside AbbVie and co-promotion partners to support physicians and patients.
• Develop, implement, communicate, and revise strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts.
• Facilitate training for physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe use of products.
• Monitor sales progress and provide regular updates to partners.
• Serve as AbbVie’s main point of contact for each account and coordinate customer support.
• Attend and engage in clinician boards, societies, and other healthcare professional gatherings.
• Represent AbbVie and assigned products at local events and relay findings to internal stakeholders.
• Stay informed about clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease-area advancements.
• Complete necessary training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Identify critical information, convey business implications, and share knowledge with internal partners.
• Maintain a solid understanding of approved product labeling and disease-state knowledge.
• Utilize data, resources, and tools to pinpoint sales opportunities and create customer program strategies.
• Engage in relevant local-market organizational programs with Legal/OEC approval.
• Leverage selling resources and tools to bolster selling strategies and maximize effectiveness.
• Business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate diverse datasets using various tools.
• Capability to meet customer needs in complex environments via innovative strategies that align with company and customer objectives.
• Proven leadership abilities and capacity to lead without direct authority.
• Experience in developing teams on complex projects or challenges to achieve successful outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Tenacity and resilience with a strong track record of success in demanding environments.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving criteria.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in Oncology, specialty, or other pharmaceutical sales preferred.
• Preferred account management experience in any industry.
• Specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly working with patients or consulting healthcare firms, preferred.
• People management or other leadership experience preferred.
• MBA or another advanced degree preferred.
• Must fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may involve background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
