This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Drive the expansion of Apex’s infrastructure services within your assigned local market.
• Create and implement a strategic plan to enhance relationships with municipal, utility, and public-sector clients.
• Utilize existing client connections and your market knowledge to position Apex as a reliable regional partner.
• Collaborate with Divisional and Regional Leadership to ensure local initiatives align with Apex’s overarching infrastructure strategy.
• Act as a trusted advisor to municipal and utility clients, gaining insights into their infrastructure priorities and funding sources.
• Identify and chase new project opportunities, lead proposal creation, and oversee interview and negotiation processes.
• Promote cross-selling of Apex’s complementary environmental, construction, and compliance services.
• Represent Apex at professional associations, technical committees, and industry conferences.
• Oversee the execution of municipal infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment, distribution/collection systems, stormwater management, and transportation or civil engineering.
• Ensure technical excellence, quality control, and compliance with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and QA/QC oversight to project teams.
• Manage project performance, including backlog, utilization, and profitability metrics.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, project managers, and technical personnel to enhance Apex’s local presence.
• Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture with an emphasis on client satisfaction and technical excellence.
• BS or MS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure.
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred in MA, CT, or NH.
• Proven track record in developing new markets, securing key municipal clients, and meeting financial growth objectives.
• Strong history of mentoring, team development, and leading cross-disciplinary project teams.
• Demonstrated capability to effectively collaborate with clients in a progressive manner to foster growth and sustained performance through impactful leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
