This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Strategically develop, nurture, and enhance vital federal client relationships that contribute to the firm’s long-term growth.
• Act as the main liaison for designated federal clients, while establishing and coordinating additional internal and external contacts as necessary.
• Create, lead, and implement comprehensive strategies for client growth, identifying and promoting opportunities that align with federal agency requirements and priorities.
• Anticipate and comprehend client goals, preferences, procurement processes, and satisfaction levels through an in-depth understanding of the client's mission, operational context, and the federal marketplace, delivering customized solutions to fulfill those needs.
• Initiate and maintain relationships with key federal stakeholders, teaming partners, industry associates, communities, and relevant governmental or political organizations, steering strategic engagement efforts for designated clients.
• Lead or assist in agency-specific, regional, or national engagement initiatives to enhance Olsson’s brand and visibility within the federal sector, in collaboration with internal government affairs, marketing, and business development teams.
• Ensure excellence in client service through proactive and consistent communication across all interactions—internally with project teams and leadership, and externally with clients and partners.
• Align technical expertise and project management capabilities with client needs, coordinating with firm leadership to meet performance, quality, and compliance expectations.
• Identify underlying causes of client performance issues and work with internal leadership and project teams to implement solutions that fulfill client expectations and contractual commitments.
• Lead capture and pursuit strategies for significant federal opportunities, aligning firmwide capabilities, resources, and talent to provide client-centered, competitive solutions.
• Facilitate the successful execution of key federal projects by closely collaborating with project teams and leadership, ensuring alignment with client expectations and agency standards.
• Oversee client negotiations and ensure adherence to client-specific contract, billing, and compliance requirements in accordance with Olsson’s Contract Signing Authority and federal contracting regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, landscape architecture, public administration, or a related discipline preferred.
• At least 12 years of experience in the consulting sector, including a minimum of 8 years supporting federal clients, facilities construction, or operation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain effective professional relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Strategic mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with community, regional, or statewide engagement strategies.
• Working knowledge of engineering, construction, land development, and business development terminology.
