This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.
• Accountable for consistently achieving facility revenue targets.
• Addresses daily inquiries from clients and Release of Information Specialists (ROIS).
• Identifies and suggests opportunities for enhancing productivity.
• Adheres to all functions related to the release of information as outlined in the service agreement.
• Compiles weekly dashboard and month-end operational performance reports.
• Monitors productivity and quality to guarantee high levels of customer service satisfaction.
• Aids the Director of Client Operations in training and evaluating ROIS staff, both onsite and remotely.
• Supports the processes of selecting, interviewing, hiring, training, and terminating employees.
• Engages in counseling sessions with site personnel and makes recommendations for disciplinary actions or terminations when necessary.
• Oversees the scheduling of onsite staff, including time off requests and payroll approvals.
• Allocates work to local site personnel and assists remote supervisors in coordinating workflow. Will be expected to provide physical coverage at various sites when workload requires.
• Maintains confidentiality by securing all information encountered within the facility.
• Offers input for the review and revision of site procedures.
• Conducts quality reviews and site evaluations as required by clients.
• Assesses release of information requests for validity according to applicable state or federal laws; returns invalid authorizations and requests to the requester.
• Searches for medical record numbers, completes guides, and retrieves medical records as appropriate.
• Reviews requests to identify the encounters being requested.
• Scans and/or electronically captures medical records, selecting the relevant information to be duplicated.
• Collects the required pages for requested records as necessary.
• Reassembles charts (if in paper format) for re-filing.
• Logs information sent to the requester, either manually or via company software, in accordance with facility procedures.
• Documents the release of information in the patient’s medical record or using other methods specified by the facility.
• Calculates billing and prepares invoices as required.
• Certifies copies of medical records when appropriate.
• Attends all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Ensures that supplies are available at the designated facility.
• Submits company-related travel expense reports and original receipts to the manager promptly.
• Develops and maintains a strong, professional relationship with the Client management team.
• Generates reports and analyzes data to effectively manage operations.
• Complies with and provides guidance on Company Policies as outlined in the Company Handbook.
• Performs other relevant duties as assigned to fulfill the needs of the department and the organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience is essential.
• A valid driver’s license with a history of safe driving.
• Effective communication skills with clients, staff members, and management.
• Experience with medical records or in the healthcare field is beneficial.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy information standards is required.
• Coursework in medical terminology is preferred.
• RHIT certification or the ability to take and pass an ROI Certification course with a score of 85% or higher within 90 days is mandatory.
