Client Manager – Industrial Water and Wastewater Utilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish connections with decision-makers seeking outsourced water and wastewater solutions.

• Seek out leads and expand client accounts.

• Engage in sales activities and guide team members through the sales process.

• Recognize new service offerings and assist in securing multi-million dollar contracts.

• Participate in conferences and cultivate industry networks.

• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize long-term agreements.

• Work in conjunction with operations, engineering, and technology teams for smooth transitions to clients.

• Keep track of market trends, competitor actions, regulatory changes, and emerging industry start-ups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of 10–15 years of experience in the field or a related area.

• At least 10 years of experience in Contract Operations within water/wastewater utilities or a related field.

• Familiarity with O&M, Contract Operations, water, wastewater, and/or public works.

• A solid network and an extensive Outlook contact list.

• Proficient in articulating service value effectively.

• Capable of prospecting for leads and managing client accounts.

• Experience in conducting sales activities, leading team members through the sales process, recognizing new offerings, negotiating, and supporting multi-million dollar contracts.

• Active membership and participation in professional or technical associations.

• Willingness to travel frequently by car and air, up to 75% of the time.

• Water/Wastewater Operator certification, Professional Engineering registration, and/or other relevant certifications are preferred.
