This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• The Client Manager is accountable for the daily oversight, performance evaluation, and operational success of SSI clients within their designated region.
• This position is responsible for ensuring the success of client stakeholders by facilitating effective communication, resolving issues, and promoting continuous improvement across revenue cycle and clearinghouse operations.
• The Client Manager collaborates closely with internal technical, operational, and product teams to ensure client workflows are optimized, issues are swiftly addressed, and performance metrics are consistently enhanced.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with client operational teams and their leadership.
• Manage the communication schedule, including updates on all SSRs, KPIs, and the progress of action and project plans.
• Ensure timely follow-up on all client inquiries and escalations in accordance with the communication matrix.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle workflows, processes, and integration for all accounts.
• Monitor and report on critical client KPIs, including denial rate, gross collection rate, AR days, and net collection rate.
• Identify performance trends and proactively escalate concerns through the appropriate channels as outlined in the client manager guide, ensuring all escalations are addressed within specified timeframes.
• Assist in the development of action plans aimed at enhancing client performance.
• Aid in the preparation of reports for leadership and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
• Track and manage client issues until resolution.
• Distinguish between operational and technical issues to assign tasks to team members effectively.
• Ensure that root causes are identified rather than just addressing symptoms.
• Maintain a technical understanding of clearinghouse workflows including 837, 277, 275, 835, and 270/271.
• Help clients differentiate between rejections and denials, with a clear understanding of the Accounts Receivable Cycle (ARC).
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve mapping, transmission, and connectivity challenges.
• Identify inefficiencies in client workflows and suggest process improvements.
• Support the transition from reactive, queue-based processes to proactive methodologies.
• Recommend enhancements to front-end data quality and claim submission processes.
• Review and analyze client reports and dashboards.
• Highlight significant insights and trends.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, clearinghouse operations, or healthcare FinTech for providers.
• Proficient understanding of revenue cycle workflows and healthcare KPIs, with a strong grasp of revenue cycle management principles.
• Must have the ability to read and write proficiently in English.
• Effective communication skills are essential, including the ability to navigate challenging situations.
• Must be capable of making independent judgments with minimal oversight.
• Must have clear vision with or without corrective lenses and clear hearing with or without aids.
• Must be able to use hands, fingers, and wrists repetitively for operating a computer keyboard and other office equipment on a regular basis.
• A combination of experience and advanced education may be considered as a substitute.
• Background checks and drug tests are required.
