Client Finance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee financial obligations for a designated portfolio of clients

• Generate client-specific financial reports and conduct final reconciliations

• Track client revenue and vendor costs to ensure precise billing, revenue recognition, and project reconciliations

• Collaborate with client-facing teams to offer financial advice and pinpoint potential risks

• Assist in making decisions related to revenue recognition, vendor expenditures, and project economics

• Handle accounts receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate invoicing and resolution of collection issues

• Assess and confirm vendor invoices against project budgets

• Create precise and balanced financial statements

• Detect and report budget excesses, write-offs, unusual spending behaviors, tax implications, and other financial threats

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of pertinent experience in finance, accounting, client finance, project accounting, billing, or related financial operations

• Prior experience in a professional services, consulting, agency, or project-focused environment is preferred

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

• Proficient understanding of budgeting, forecasting, job costing, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, and financial reporting

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies, financial risks, and opportunities for improvement

• Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple client priorities and adhering to deadlines

• Superior verbal and written communication abilities

• Capacity to build relationships, collaborate across teams, influence decisions, and clearly communicate financial information

• Must be eligible to work in Canada without visa sponsorship

• Availability to work during EST hours
