This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Develop and implement strategic territory and account plans aimed at driving bookings, revenue growth, and customer success within assigned utility accounts.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities while enhancing existing customer relationships through upselling, cross-selling, and initiatives for account growth.
• Establish genuine and trusted relationships with executive, operational, and IT stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor to utility customers.
• Manage intricate sales engagements from the discovery phase through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution, ensuring a disciplined and precise sales process is maintained.
• Ensure forecast accuracy, pipeline health, and the integrity of CRM data to facilitate accountable business planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Solution Consultants, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to present compelling demonstrations, business cases, and customer presentations.
• Utilize industry expertise, market insights, and internal subject matter experts to position solutions that tackle utility challenges and deliver measurable business value.
• Represent Itron at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to enhance market presence and create new business opportunities.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or technology solution sales, with a proven history of meeting or surpassing revenue targets.
• Experience in selling software solutions to Electric and/or Gas Utilities; established relationships within the utility industry are highly preferred.
• Proven success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting to contract execution.
• Knowledge of utility operations, including construction, asset management, work management, GIS, or relevant business processes.
• Strong consultative selling abilities with a knack for aligning technology solutions to customer business challenges and desired outcomes.
• Experience in developing and executing strategic territory and account plans while ensuring accuracy in forecasting and CRM maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile, and growth-focused environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
