This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Provide timely assistance and respond to inquiries from clients, physicians, nurses, or representatives regarding questions, report statuses, concerns, and information requests.
• Input and retrieve client or claimant data utilizing appropriate systems and databases.
• Prepare, enter, track, document, file, and archive case information.
• Maintain daily communication with the QA department concerning workflow and pending report statuses.
• Reach out to providers for assignment and update the database accordingly.
• Verify client information and document client-specific guidelines and regulations within the system.
• Collaborate independently and with team members to address inquiries, document details, and promptly return cases.
• Direct calls to other departments as necessary.
• Execute clerical tasks, including typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading.
• Assist in handling customer complaints and quality assurance matters.
• Notify management regarding report issues or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal safety and legal regulations.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of clerical experience is necessary.
• Experience in a medical office or insurance sector is preferred.
• Proficiency in using general office equipment such as computers, faxes, copiers, scanners, and telephones.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
• Ability to be trained on and comply with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
• Competent typist with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.
• Capable of accurately following instructions and management directives.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, accountability for work quality, and initiative to identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Ability to stay focused amidst normal or significant distractions.
• Ability to perform well under pressure or in stressful situations.
• Capability to manage changes, delays, or unexpected events appropriately.
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Full-time position.
