This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.
• Conduct reviews of automobile claim investigations.
• Provide handling recommendations and guide subordinates.
• Ensure continuous adjudication of claims in alignment with company standards as well as industry best practices and regulations.
• Assess, recommend, and authorize settlement and payment processes.
• Oversee the overall handling of files and the quality of work produced by subordinates.
• Generate grammatically accurate and clearly articulated correspondence, including letters, memos, reports, and claim file documentation.
• Support the operations of the claims department by making recommendations and establishing an organizational structure that aligns with the department's goals and objectives.
• Maintain a comprehensive system of claims policies, procedures, and workflows to facilitate seamless operations.
• Offer feedback to Management on initiatives aimed at improving processes and systems within the department.
• Inform Management promptly upon identifying any issues or concerns that could adversely affect the department or the Company; suggest policies and procedures to Management regarding potential quality issues.
• Promote a focused training and development environment within the Claims Department.
• Adhere to state and federal laws, Department of Insurance standards, insurance carrier criteria, and enforce Aspire General Insurance Company and partner policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Communicate with the Human Resources Department in a timely manner regarding employee attendance, punctuality, or potential leave situations.
• Provide prompt and comprehensive documentation related to employee performance, training, recognition, and coaching.
• Assess the performance of subordinates and carry out personnel actions as needed in collaboration with the human resources department. Ensure appropriate scheduling within the Department, including managing time-off requests and work shifts. Assist in identifying, recruiting, hiring, and developing top talent.
• Strive to meet targeted performance goals while ensuring that sensitive information about employees and the Company remains confidential. Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as required.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in the Property and Casualty insurance sector.
• A clear understanding of industry practices, standards, and terminology is essential.
• Experience in managing subrogation, property damage, and injury claims is required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
• A disciplined approach to all job-related tasks is necessary.
• A solid foundation in personal organization, sound decision-making, analytical skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and customer service is required.
• Proficiency in keyboarding and familiarity with Windows and MS Office products is essential.
