Claims Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver prompt, customer-centric support to policyholders filing insurance claims

• Record initial loss information and call interactions

• Assess whether immediate attention from an adjuster is necessary, following established protocols

• Collaborate with vendors as needed

• Review call documentation to confirm proper call conclusion

• Send accurate and comprehensive call reports

• Offer tailored customer service

• Organize the dispatch of adjusters or vendor partners

• Handle branch inquiries and route them to the correct department

• Keep a log of service lapses for root-cause analysis

• Identify trends and provide recommendations to management

• Evaluate claim details to decide on subsequent actions in accordance with client guidelines and service agreements

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of post-secondary education is necessary

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or administration is required

• Familiarity with the insurance/service industry or related background is preferred

• Proficient computer and telephone skills

• Capability and willingness to learn

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and customer service

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Good judgment and the ability to handle challenging customer interactions

• Capacity to respond swiftly to customer inquiries and service demands

• Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and work environment requirements

• Availability to work rotating shifts seven days a week, including required weekends

• Ability to work an 8-hour shift between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m.

• High-speed internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and upload speeds
