Claims, Litigation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy and investigation of intricate professional liability and medical malpractice claims from the initial report to final resolution.

• Guide external defense counsel on case action plans, ensuring that litigation complies with organizational standards and protocols.

• Set accurate loss reserves and prepare National Claims Committee reports for significant high-exposure cases.

• Engage in direct negotiations with plaintiff attorneys.

• Act as the organization's representative during mediations, trials, and depositions to achieve favorable settlements.

• Work in conjunction with Risk Management to convert claim outcomes into valuable insights that enhance patient safety and diminish future liability.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required.

• 2 years of experience in leadership or management is preferred.
