This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

• Champions the swift and effective resolution of workers’ compensation claims on behalf of our clients.
• Communicates relevant claim information promptly to both internal and external clients
• Fosters robust relationships with internal and external clients
• Possesses subject matter expertise in workers’ compensation with extensive knowledge across various jurisdictions.
• Participates in presentations, including new business pitches, RFPs (clients, TPAs), claim reviews, and renewals, among others.
• Acquires a solid understanding of IMA's computer systems and programs
• Supports the Claim Manager in onboarding, training, and developing claim staff
• Cultivates and strengthens relationships at local, regional, and national levels with carriers, TPAs, legal professionals, consultants, etc.
• Leads and contributes to Claim Projects and other assigned tasks
• Attends insurance-related seminars, including but not limited to continuing education classes
• A minimum of 7 years of prior claims experience is necessary, preferably in Workers’ Compensation
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience to a college degree
• Proficient system skills or aptitude – familiarity with Applied Epic, Carrier, and TPA platforms is preferred
• Experience with MS Office products is preferred/required (particularly PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Outstanding technical skills and knowledge of coverage and claims handling
• Moderate travel is required (25-50%)
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
• Strong mathematical and reasoning capabilities are required
• Capacity to discuss and resolve claim issues with clients and insurance carriers.
