Claim Representative III – Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manage the most complex technical claims at the company level, including investigation, assessment, and negotiations related to Property, Collapse, Earth Movement, and damage to buildings and structures.

• Act as the technical supervisor for the team in the absence of the manager.

• Assist with regional audits.

• Guide and mentor junior Claim Representatives.

• Execute additional duties as assigned by the Claim Manager or Director.

• Deliver exceptional service and foster relationships with agency partners and policyholders to ensure effective claim resolutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Seven (7) years of experience in claims, with at least three years focused on managing complex claims.

• In-depth knowledge of current claims legislation, particularly civil and tort law, as well as contemporary trends in Property insurance case law and issues.

• Solid understanding of mathematics and standard accounting practices related to gross/net income or living expense calculations.

• Proven strong negotiation abilities.

• Capable of articulating complex legal concepts and interpreting policy contracts both in writing and verbally.

• Skilled in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks effectively under tight deadlines.

• Conduct inspections of properties, including roofs, basements, and attics, which may necessitate the use of ladders or stairs and the ability to kneel, crawl, and bend.

• Hold a valid California Driver's License and be able to operate a vehicle.

• Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future visa sponsorship.
