Claim Representative III – Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate property, collapse, earth movement, and structural loss claims at the highest technical level within the company.

• Investigate, assess, and negotiate property claims effectively.

• Act as a technical supervisor for the team during the manager's absence.

• Assist with audits conducted in the region.

• Provide mentorship to less experienced Claim Representatives.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Claim Manager or Director.

• Conduct thorough inspections of sites and properties.

• Convey interpretations of policy contracts and complex legal concepts.

• Collaborate with agency partners and policyholders to reach successful resolutions for claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a college degree or equivalent experience.

• Have seven (7) years of claims experience, including three years handling complex claim files.

• Familiarity with current claims laws, specifically civil and tort law, as well as contemporary issues in Property insurance case law.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of mathematics and common accounting practices related to gross and net income or living-expense calculations.

• Exhibit strong negotiation abilities.

• Capable of articulating complex legal concepts and policy contract interpretations both in writing and verbally.

• Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks under the pressure of tight deadlines.

• Competence in conducting inspections of sites and properties, including roofs, basements, and attics, which may involve using ladders or stairs and performing kneeling, crawling, and bending.

• Maintain a valid California Driver License and have the ability to operate a vehicle.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Candidates must reside in the Central Valley area (Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield territory).
