Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee civil litigation cases from their initial assessment to final resolution.

• Conduct plaintiff depositions and perform comprehensive discovery.

• Prepare pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and various litigation documents.

• Formulate case strategies and work in collaboration with seasoned attorneys.

• Advocate for clients during court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.

• Ready cases for trial and contribute to achieving successful litigation results.

• Maintain communication with clients and provide practical, results-oriented legal solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active membership with the California State Bar.

• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation.

• Proven ability to take plaintiff depositions is required.

• Experience in managing written discovery is necessary.

• Strong skills in legal research, writing, negotiation, and case management.

• Capability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

• Willingness and ability to travel for court appearances and trials across California.

• Experience in insurance defense, personal injury defense, or general liability is advantageous.

• A minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience is preferred; candidates with slightly less experience may still be considered.
