Civil Design Engineer – Renewables

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with civil, structural, and electrical design teams as well as clients to deliver creative design solutions.

• Create construction documents for the civil design aspect of utility-scale wind generation projects.

• Utilize current engineering techniques, methodologies, and standards for engineering tasks.

• Produce plans, specifications, and observation reports that are thorough and precise.

• Suggest modifications to development criteria and design elements to enhance quality.

• Conduct design computations and calculations pertinent to civil site design.

• Partner closely with business and engineering personnel across various markets and technical disciplines.

• Work alongside clients to comprehend technical requirements and pinpoint optimal solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or its equivalent is mandatory.

• Civil Engineering-In-Training (EIT) registration is required.

• A minimum of 2-4 years of civil engineering experience is required, with at least 1-2 years in the design and development of renewable energy projects preferred.

• Knowledge of large-scale site grading design, modifications to existing civil designs, and earthwork calculations is essential.

• Familiarity with erosion and sediment control methods and temporary stormwater management techniques is highly preferred.

• Experience in detailed design of renewable facilities with intricate topographic, environmental, and non-participating infrastructure constraints is desirable.

• Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is mandatory.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
