Cisco UCS Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical advisor for engagements involving Cisco UCS and compute infrastructure.

• Facilitate architecture design, discovery sessions, and technical workshops with clients.

• Create and implement solutions encompassing: Cisco UCS (B-Series, C-Series, X-Series), UCS Manager / Intersight.

• Handle Fabric Interconnects and unified networking.

• Develop target-state architectures, migration plans, and infrastructure roadmaps.

• Spearhead data center modernization efforts, which include: Legacy server and compute refresh.

• Integrate virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).

• Align converged and hyperconverged infrastructure.

• Establish and execute strategies for high availability, scalability, and performance optimization.

• Oversee deployment, configuration, and migration activities.

• Serve as the escalation contact for intricate compute, networking, and integration issues.

• Assist in pre-sales activities, including solution design, SOW preparation, and client presentations.

• Generate high-quality architecture documentation, diagrams, and implementation guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, compute architecture, or consulting positions.

• Extensive knowledge of: Cisco UCS (B-Series, C-Series, X-Series), UCS Manager, and/or Cisco Intersight.

• Strong comprehension of: Data center networking principles (VLANs, vNICs, fabric interconnects).

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware preferred).

• Experience with compute, storage, and infrastructure integration.

• Proven track record of leading enterprise infrastructure design and migration initiatives.

• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation abilities.
