Cisco Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in pre-sales and assessment initiatives for enterprise-level clients

• Act as a reliable technical advisor during customer explorations, infrastructure evaluations, and solution design projects

• Facilitate technical discovery meetings and infrastructure evaluations in enterprise data center settings

• Analyze existing compute, network, virtualization, and storage frameworks

• Conduct Cisco-centric evaluations for: Cisco UCS, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI, Cisco MDS, Cisco Intersight

• Recognize technical risks, lifecycle issues, performance challenges, and modernization prospects

• Compile assessment results, suggestions, and high-level executive reports

• Collaborate with solution architects and sales teams during client interactions

• Engage in customer workshops, design assessments, and strategic planning sessions

• Aid in project scoping, development of statements of work (SOWs), and estimation of implementation efforts

• Provide insights on data center modernization, compute refresh projects, virtualization technologies, hybrid cloud connectivity, and integration of network and storage solutions

• Present architectural recommendations and migration strategies that align with client business goals

• Function as a subject matter expert in technical presentations and client discussions

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in enterprise data center engineering or consulting

• Profound hands-on knowledge of: Cisco UCS, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI

• Solid grasp of VMware environments

• Expertise in data center networking

• Knowledge of compute and storage infrastructure

• Proficiency in disaster recovery and high availability design

• Background in conducting infrastructure assessments and technical discovery workshops

• Strong communication skills for engaging both technical and executive stakeholders

• Experience in supporting pre-sales and solution development efforts

• Willingness to travel within the Eastern United States as necessary
