This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create original, technically sound free-response questions that focus on real-world circuit design.
• Design questions that demand advanced engineering reasoning in areas such as analog, digital, power, or RF circuit design.
• Integrate realistic design constraints, specifications, trade-offs, and implementation aspects.
• Utilize advanced circuit theory and electrical engineering concepts to tackle complex design challenges.
• Develop scenarios that include component selection, circuit architecture, performance requirements, and design optimization.
• Assess design choices against practical technical and production limitations.
• Compose comprehensive expert-level solutions that outline calculations, assumptions, methodologies, and engineering reasoning.
• Generate precise, reproducible, and independently verifiable reference answers.
• Test the developed problems against various cutting-edge language models.
• Analyze AI-generated solutions for reasoning errors, design flaws, calculation inaccuracies, and incomplete technical strategies.
• Fine-tune and validate questions to ensure they maintain an appropriate level of difficulty.
• A PhD in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional or industry experience in circuit design is required.
• Extensive expertise in analog, digital, power, or RF circuit design is essential.
• Direct experience in developing real hardware designs throughout implementation, production, or tape-out processes.
• Strong proficiency in advanced circuit analysis and design principles.
• Experience in solving intricate engineering problems within professional settings.
• Ability to translate genuine industry challenges into structured technical inquiries.
• Excellent analytical reasoning and technical writing capabilities are necessary.
• Practical experience in designing and delivering actual circuits or electronic systems.
• Hands-on circuit design experience is required.
• Candidates must have experience in shipping, releasing, or taping out real designs.
• Design verification experience alone, particularly in UVM, SystemVerilog, or DV roles, does not satisfy the requirements.
• Preferred experience may include work in semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, automotive, telecommunications, energy, or technology sectors; analog or mixed-signal design; digital or integrated circuit design; power electronics; RF or high-frequency design; tape-out or production release; engineering assessment or technical problem authoring; AI models or structured technical evaluation.
