Chinese to Malay/Indonesian Automotive Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Enhance the output of machine translation by post-editing for precision, fluency, consistency, adherence to terminology, and compliance with style guides.

• Conduct final proofreading and quality assurance checks focusing on language, terminology, formatting, numbers, units, and overall readiness for delivery.

• Utilize CAT tools and adhere to project quality assurance workflows.

• Translate or review materials related to automotive and technical fields, including product/feature content, excerpts from technical documents/manuals, after-sales/service information, and training materials.

• Assist with long-term freelance localization projects and respond to urgent requests as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred native-level proficiency in Indonesian/Malay.

• Proven experience in technical localization is essential.

• Experience in automotive localization is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Dependable turnaround times.

• Capability to handle urgent requests when necessary.

• A linguistic test is required (TR / MTPE / PR).

• Proficient in using CAT tools such as Trados, memoQ, or Smartcat.

• Must provide availability and time zone information.

• Submission of a CV along with relevant automotive/technical experience is requested.
