Chinese to Malay/Indonesian Automotive Translation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Execute MTPE to enhance machine translation outputs for precision, fluency, consistency, adherence to terminology, and style-guide standards.

• Conduct proofreading and final quality assurance checks on language, terminology, formatting, numerical values/units, and readiness for delivery.

• Utilize CAT tools and adhere to project quality assurance workflows.

• Translate or review automotive and technical materials, which include product/feature content, technical documents/manual excerpts, after-sales/service information, and training materials.

• Provide support for long-term freelance collaboration and respond to urgent requests as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Indonesian/Malay is preferred.

• Experience in technical localization is mandatory.

• Automotive localization experience is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills are essential.

• Dependable turnaround times are required.

• Ability to accommodate urgent requests as needed.

• A linguistic test is required (TR / MTPE / PR).

• Familiarity with CAT tools such as Trados, memoQ, or Smartcat is necessary.

• Candidates should submit their CV along with relevant automotive/technical experience.

• Candidates must indicate the CAT tools they have used and their availability/time zone.

• Applicants must be a native Chinese speaker or a native of Thai/Malay/Indonesian (as per application question).

• Must have experience in ZH-CN>TH/MY/ID automotive translation (as per application question).
