This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Formulate and implement the development strategy for pharmaceutical assets in China.
• Ensure that development assets significantly enhance the value of China's pharmaceutical sector through swift, comprehensive, and effective pipeline development.
• Lead, manage, and coordinate all development initiatives in China via the Asset Strategy Team.
• Create integrated development strategies that align with regulatory standards and market demands.
• Accelerate the introduction of new products to market using the most efficient and cost-effective methods.
• Provide insights to global Asset Strategy Teams to ensure the integration of China's strategy on a global scale.
• Align program development strategies with commercial, JAPAC, Intercon, and global stakeholders in China.
• Act as a representative for the local Asset Strategy Team in global teams and pertinent decision-making bodies in China.
• Establish asset-related goals, sustain team motivation, and deliver consistent performance feedback.
• Propel assets forward with agility, quality, and adherence to budget constraints.
• Define and strategize development timelines and key milestones.
• Drive the execution of asset strategies in China and collaborate with global Asset Strategy Teams.
• Develop strategies to manage, mitigate, or resolve project risks within China.
• Hold team members accountable for meeting established timelines and budgetary commitments.
• Contribute to the strategy of the China portfolio and facilitate alignment among cross-affiliate stakeholders.
• Lead organization-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities and improving team performance.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a life science discipline is required.
• An advanced degree, such as an MD, PhD, or MBA, is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in drug development within a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
• Preferred experience in Neuroscience and/or Immunology.
• Strong capabilities in strategic thinking, collaboration, facilitative leadership, executive functioning, and problem-solving.
• Ability to quickly assimilate new information and apply it to asset strategy development.
• Proven experience leading teams in a cross-functional setting.
• Capacity to exercise objective judgment and devise practical solutions for complex cross-functional challenges.
• Proficient in seeking stakeholder advice and making informed decisions amidst uncertainty or incomplete information.
• Capability to lead and inspire team members across various functional areas.
• Ability to influence others and maximize their potential.
• Competence in delegating accountability and decision-making to supporting teams and functions.
• Willingness to respectfully challenge team members and functions while managing conflicts effectively.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
