Chief Strategy – Corporate Development Officer

📋 Description

• Spearhead the development and enhancement of Availity’s long-term strategic framework.

• Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on key enterprise priorities and growth aims.

• Oversee strategic planning, capital allocation, and portfolio management processes.

• Establish decision-making and prioritization frameworks for the enterprise.

• Keep track of industry trends, competitive shifts, customer demands, and regulatory changes.

• Formulate and implement the corporate development strategy.

• Identify, assess, and prioritize acquisitions, investments, partnerships, joint ventures, and divestitures.

• Direct strategic due diligence, valuation assessments, and transaction execution.

• Present recommendations and investment theses to executive leadership and the Board.

• Create and sustain a pipeline of strategic growth opportunities.

• Manage relationships with external advisors, investment bankers, consultants, and legal partners.

• Cultivate strategic partnerships with payers, providers, technology partners, and healthcare innovators.

• Analyze partnership models, strategic alliances, new markets, business models, products, and revenue streams.

• Lead or sponsor enterprise transformation projects, ensuring measurable outcomes.

• Monitor the performance and accountability of strategic initiatives.

• Act as a thought partner to leaders in Product, Technology, Growth, Operations, and Finance.

• Prepare strategic recommendations, market analyses, and investment proposals for Board evaluation.

• Advise the CEO and Executive Leadership Team while communicating the strategic direction throughout the organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, healthcare technology, or related domains.

• Extensive experience leading enterprise strategy initiatives and growth programs.

• Proven track record in evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, investments, or divestitures.

• Strong financial, analytical, and business modeling skills.

• Demonstrated ability to influence executive leaders and Boards effectively.

• Experience in the healthcare technology sector, healthcare services, payer, provider, revenue cycle, or interoperability.

• MBA or a comparable advanced business degree.

• Proven experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives in high-growth or rapidly changing organizations.

• A mindset oriented towards enterprise thinking and long-term objectives.

• Strategic curiosity coupled with market awareness.

• Strong business acumen and financial insight.

• Capability for executive influence and relationship cultivation.

• Proficient in navigating ambiguity and complexity.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities.

• A proactive approach favoring action and execution.

• Ability to foster alignment without direct authority.

• Capacity to advise and influence CEOs, executive leadership teams, and Boards.

• Experience in identifying growth opportunities related to healthcare technology, AI, automation, interoperability, and administrative simplification.

• Proven effectiveness in high-growth, fast-paced, or rapidly evolving organizations.

• Sponsorship, in any capacity, is not available.

• Must pass a drug test prior to starting employment.

• Must fulfill U.S. employment eligibility verification requirements.

• Must utilize a camera for all virtual meetings.
