This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies that promote comprehensive revenue growth, enhance market penetration, and bolster competitive positioning across both retail and veterinary sectors.
• Lead the formulation of pricing strategies, market positioning, and product launch tactics that guarantee differentiation and profitable expansion across various market segments.
• Supervise and mentor department heads (Marketing, Sales, Success, Category Management), nurturing a high-performance culture that prioritizes leadership development and strategic responsiveness.
• Encourage seamless collaboration and integration across all departments "under the umbrella" to ensure coherent messaging, unified client engagement, and improved retention rates.
• Establish strong partnerships with Product, Finance, and Operations to propel shared goals, ensuring that the product roadmap and financial strategies align with ambitious revenue objectives.
• Manage consolidated departmental budgets, guaranteeing effective resource allocation and ROI-focused spending across marketing initiatives, sales incentives, and partner engagement.
• Observe global market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer preferences to refine strategies and adapt swiftly in a dynamic environment.
• Provide strategic leadership to enhance the sales technology stack and processes; analyze data to deliver accurate targets, pipeline forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Oversee strategic partnerships with key vendors, distributors, and industry collaborators to improve product offerings and broaden distribution channels.
• Represent the company at prestigious industry events and conferences to enhance brand equity and establish personal and organizational thought leadership.
• Set high expectations and hold senior team members accountable for KPIs and their professional development.
• Influence cross-functional teams, fostering confidence and optimism regarding the organization's future.
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive environment that promotes collaboration between technical, creative, and sales professionals.
• Over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in a technology-driven, B2B or B2B2C setting within the Animal Health, Healthtech, or Pet Care sectors.
• More than 5 years of experience in a senior executive position (VP or higher) managing multiple commercial departments concurrently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute long-term strategic plans that yielded measurable revenue growth.
• In-depth knowledge of the veterinary and pet care markets, including retail dynamics and B2B sales cycles.
• Outstanding strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating complex data into actionable growth strategies.
• Exceptional negotiation and presentation capabilities, with the ability to influence stakeholders at the Board level and external decision-makers.
• Proficient in Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms), sales enablement tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
