Chief of Staff – VC Backed Startups

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the CEO, founder, or executive team on key company objectives, strategic planning, and decision-making processes.

• Lead high-priority, cross-functional projects from the identification of problems through to their execution.

• Develop and oversee operational rhythms, including leadership meetings, goal-setting sessions, planning, and business reviews.

• Create executive communications, board materials, investor updates, and strategic presentations.

• Conduct research and analysis to support growth, organizational design, product strategy, market expansion, and fundraising efforts.

• Monitor company goals, KPIs, and essential initiatives to guarantee accountability and follow-through.

• Identify operational inefficiencies and design processes, systems, and workflows to enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Promote cross-functional alignment and address issues that span multiple teams.

• Assist with fundraising, annual planning, partnerships, recruitment, acquisitions, and the launch of new markets.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO or executive team while exercising discretion and sound judgment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, product management, business operations, or a related field.

• Prior experience in a venture-backed startup, high-growth tech company, consulting agency, investment firm, or similarly dynamic environment.

• Proven success in leading complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.

• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to transform incomplete information into well-structured recommendations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience with executive-level materials.

• Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively.

• High level of judgment, discretion, and comfort in handling sensitive company information.

• A low-ego, hands-on approach to operations and a willingness to take ownership beyond a specified job description.

• Direct experience working with a founder, CEO, or executive leadership team is highly preferred.

• Background in finance, consulting, investing, business operations, or product strategy is advantageous.

• Familiarity with relevant tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, Tableau, Mode, Notion, Asana, Linear, Monday.com, Airtable, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft Office, Carta, Ramp, Brex, Mosaic, Pigment, Salesforce, HubSpot, or Gong.
