This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic leadership for financial operations, including accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial reporting, and long-term financial planning.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, gift-in-kind accounting requirements, and all relevant legal and regulatory obligations.
• Supervise annual audits, tax submissions, internal controls, and enterprise risk management initiatives.
• Collaborate with the President & CEO and Executive Leadership Team on organizational strategy, financial modeling, and long-term planning.
• Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting and strategic advice to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while enhancing systems, processes, and professional growth opportunities.
• Work collaboratively across the organization to promote sound decision-making, responsible stewardship, and financial sustainability for the long term.
• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the President & CEO, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Leadership Team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles.
• Prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer or in a senior finance executive position.
• Extensive experience in nonprofit financial leadership is essential.
• Proficient in nonprofit financial management and reporting practices.
• Experience with complex nonprofit accounting, including restricted funding and gift-in-kind accounting, is preferred.
• Proven experience collaborating with Boards of Directors and executive leadership teams.
• CPA credential is strongly preferred.
• An MBA and experience with ECFA standards or with an ECFA-accredited organization is highly desirable.
• Background in international ministry, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or global nonprofit sectors is preferred.
• Strong expertise in strategic financial planning, forecasting, treasury oversight, audit management, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and financial systems.
• A mature and developing relationship with Jesus Christ aligns with MAP's mission and Statement of Faith.
• Possess an executive presence combined with humility.
• High emotional intelligence and relational maturity are essential.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills are required.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational insight.
• Strong judgment and discernment are necessary.
• A collaborative leadership style that prioritizes partnership over hierarchy.
• Capacity to influence through relationships rather than authority.
