This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create both short-term and long-term financial strategies along with multi-year forecasts, ensuring alignment of financial management with the organization’s priorities.
• Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, investments, insurance, and financial reporting while adhering to GAAP and nonprofit regulations.
• Supervise audits, tax submissions, 401K administration, and ensure compliance with both U.S. and international financial laws.
• Enhance and implement financial systems, policies, and internal controls to promote efficiency and robust fiscal management.
• Provide guidance to the CEO and senior leadership on financial analysis, cost control, and revenue strategies; assist committees and the Board with reports and recommendations.
• Maintain treasury functions, banking relationships, and investment oversight in partnership with external advisors.
• Mentor and coach staff, cultivate a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensure ongoing improvement in financial practices.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration is required; CPA/CMA and a graduate degree are preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in nonprofit financial leadership, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Proficient in financial analysis, modeling, compliance, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams; possesses strong collaboration and influence skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; capable of conveying complex financial concepts to a variety of audiences.
• High level of integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and excellent organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally as needed and internationally approximately once a year for meetings, conferences, and organizational events.
