This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee extensive research of the global data center sector, covering infrastructure, hardware, software, and cutting-edge technologies.
• Contribute to, create, and sustain market forecasts, sizing models, trackers, and analyses of the competitive landscape.
• Identify and evaluate trends such as hyperscale deployments, edge computing, sustainability efforts, and AI infrastructure needs.
• Produce high-quality reports, trackers, forecasts, and presentations in collaboration with the Data Center team.
• Formulate and assess hypotheses that challenge prevailing market perceptions.
• Present research findings at industry conferences, client briefings, and webinars.
• Offer expert insights to media outlets and industry publications.
• Provide strategic consulting and advisory services regarding data center investment choices, technology roadmaps, and market opportunities.
• Cultivate and sustain client relationships, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Represent Omdia and Informa TechTarget during client meetings.
• Assist sales, marketing, product management, and PR teams.
• Participate in planning sessions and collaborate with the Practice Leader and Research Directors on team direction and strategy.
• Develop customer-focused perspectives for new products and advisory services.
• More than 10 years of professional experience.
• Background in the data center ecosystem as an industry analyst or within the broader ecosystem.
• Strong technical comprehension of the data center landscape.
• Ability to generate credible, distinctive, compelling, and original insights on market developments.
• Experience in quantitative research.
• Capacity to build, maintain, and refine market forecasts and trackers.
• Skill in presenting complex concepts and trends derived from data in a compelling manner.
• Excellent written communication abilities and aptitude for synthesizing intricate ideas.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation capabilities.
• Confidence in engaging with and influencing senior industry executives.
• Proficiency in building and enhancing relationships with industry contacts and opinion leaders.
• A pre-existing network of industry contacts is highly advantageous.
• Ability to identify and articulate critical issues that affect clients' commercial success.
• Experience collaborating with sales and marketing teams on business development initiatives.
• Proven track record in managing workload, meeting deadlines, and exceeding client expectations.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
