Chemicals Supplier Engagement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and oversee a substantial volume of Requests for Quotes (RFQs) from buyers, ensuring the prompt delivery of numerous high-quality quotes for each requested material.

• Analyze the supplier landscape to identify and select suitable suppliers for the requested materials.

• Interact with new suppliers to verify material availability and obtain competitive quotes.

• Facilitate communication between suppliers and buyers regarding product specifications, samples, and delivery terms.

• Ensure the quality and accuracy of quotes and the data submitted by suppliers.

• Develop and sustain strong relationships with existing suppliers currently active on the Valdera platform.

• Guide new suppliers through the onboarding process onto the Valdera platform, guaranteeing a smooth and seamless integration experience.

• Keep comprehensive documentation of product availability, supplier communication, and sourcing activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical industry.

• A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a natural science.

• At least 5 years of experience in sourcing, technical sales, business development, partnership, or management consulting.

• Proven capability to conduct supply market assessments and identify suppliers for specific chemicals or raw materials.

• In-depth knowledge of chemicals and raw materials, along with relevant technical expertise in reviewing RFQs (TDS, SDS, COA, etc.).

• Proficient in identifying alternative or offset materials by analyzing technical documentation and product chemistry.

• Experience in establishing and nurturing strong supplier relationships.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with suppliers.

• Ability to create structured plans, track progress, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
