Chemical Company Assessor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Conduct company evaluations in accordance with the bluesign® criteria.

• Prepare assessments and pre-evaluate necessary documentation.

• Execute onsite evaluations, including report writing and related assessments.

• Monitor progress on roadmaps aimed at achieving compliance with bluesign® standards during implementation.

• Update and manage the business process leading IT tool.

• Carry out follow-up evaluations to ensure ongoing improvements at companies.

• Engage in project work as required and agreed upon.

• Occasionally travel for business from the US to Canada and Latin America.

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background in engineering, natural sciences, or a technical degree, preferably related to textiles (e.g., textile engineer, chemical engineer, environmental scientist, or similar).

• Understanding of product stewardship, classification and labeling, and regulatory matters.

• Familiarity with chemistry and/or manufacturing in the plastic industry.

• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

• Previous experience in auditing.

• Proficient in English, particularly in written communication.

• Fluent in Spanish.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities in diverse cultural environments.

• Capability to work independently.

• Proficient in managing time effectively and working under pressure.

• Ability to conduct thorough and factual assessments.

• Willingness to undertake occasional business travel from the US to Canada and Latin America, in compliance with applicable travel regulations.
