Chargeback Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Examine disputed transactions related to credit cards, debit cards, and ACH, resolving disputes within designated timeframes.

• Collaborate with fraud and disputes teams to define appropriate next steps on a case-by-case basis.

• Analyze transactions in accordance with internal policies and methodologies to detect patterns and trends.

• Assess account behaviors through data analysis utilizing internal systems and tools.

• Partner with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineering teams to enhance loss prevention strategies, processes, and tools.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.

• Achieve or surpass SLAs for the prompt resolution of pending cases to mitigate potential losses.

• Professionally and efficiently manage escalations from both internal and external stakeholders.

• Propose process enhancements and opportunities for scaling to the Chargeback Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• At least 1 year of experience in processing chargebacks or investigating and resolving fraud cases.

• Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to make significant decisions in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous setting.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to multitask effectively.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Strong business acumen along with excellent communication skills.

• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision after training.

• Willingness to work during holidays.

• Full-time availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm CST.

• English resumes are mandatory.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in chargeback processing or fraud claims, or investigating live transactions related to fraudulent activities in e-commerce, banking, fintech, or financial institutions.

• Preferred: Availability to commence work within two weeks after receiving an offer.
