Charge Capture Coordinator – Clinical Revenue Integrity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the capture of clinical service and procedure charges specific to units and areas.

• Input charges into the existing computerized billing system (Cerner and/or PBAR).

• Ensure diligence in accurately entering all relevant charges in a timely fashion.

• Perform reconciliation of department-generated records with billing system reports.

• Conduct audits for completeness, making corrections, and resubmitting any rejected charges.

• Report any missing or incomplete clinical documentation as well as charge entry errors.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Two years of experience in clinical or healthcare disciplines, such as previous roles in hospitals or medical offices, charge entry, or medical records.

• Exceptional data entry skills and a focus on quality outcomes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other necessary software.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

• Demonstrates a solid understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.

• Capability to maintain the confidentiality of patient, physician, and health system information.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Familiarity with computerized billing systems, with relevant experience preferred.

• Up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

• Basic understanding of coding practices.
