This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.
• Deliver technical sales execution to the Channel team, channel partners, technical support, product engineering, R&D, and end customers.
• Create and propose customized solutions based on an in-depth understanding of the portfolio and capabilities to fulfill customers' specific requirements.
• Assist in specification by negotiating deviations and establishing mutually beneficial solutions.
• Identify and articulate the applicability of (new/emerging) functional solutions to tackle current business challenges.
• Guide others in providing high-quality solutions by utilizing extensive professional expertise.
• Consistently enhance existing customer relationships.
• Proactively engage with new customers.
• Address customer complaints promptly according to a defined process.
• Recognize and fulfill customer needs while soliciting feedback.
• Possess and confidently apply basic sales techniques (e.g., communication, active listening, presentation…).
• Assist the Channel team with customer presentations and demonstrations by acting as the product expert through strong solution knowledge.
• Analyze drive, PLC/HMI motor application issues and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate activities with related groups to efficiently achieve objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in the application of Low Voltage drives, alongside a basic understanding of Compressors, Pump & Fan, Extruder, Crane, Hoists & Winches, Centrifuge, General Machinery, and other applications.
• Outstanding technical application and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Serial and Ethernet communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, etc.).
• Programming experience with industrial PLCs (ABB, Rockwell, Siemens, Square D, or others).
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, as well as common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• A valid driver’s license and passport are required, with the ability to travel within the territory (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama) over 50% of the time to customer and end user locations.
• Candidates must already possess work authorization that permits them to legally work for ABB in the United States.
