CGI Automotive Artist, 3Ds Max, V-Ray

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Develop automotive CGI from high-quality vehicle models.

• Create still images and animations.

• Texture, shade, illuminate, render, and composite final automotive visuals.

• Generate exteriors, interiors, detailed crops, accessories, colorways, wheels, trims, and motion sequences.

• Assess and enhance lighting, materials, geometry, camera configurations, render settings, and compositing techniques.

• Fine-tune clearcoat, metallic flakes, glass, rubber, leather, stitching, displays, brushed metal, chrome, and shadow effects.

• Design scenes and outputs appropriate for extensive content sets and scalable production pipelines.

• Adhere to standards for naming, versioning, render layers, compositing, and scene organization.

• Maintain assets that are clean, reusable, and prepared for configurators, campaign adaptations, market variations, and automated content processes.

• Implement feedback from art directors, team leads, clients, and production units.

• Enhance material libraries and lighting templates.

• Document effective solutions and minimize manual rework throughout automotive production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in automotive CGI and high-quality 3D production.

• Proficient in handling complex high-poly models, physically based materials, lighting configurations, render passes, compositing workflows, and final image refinement.

• Advanced knowledge of 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Nuke or After Effects.

• A portfolio or showreel showcasing seniority through visual judgment, technical expertise, and completed work.

• Strong command of English for effective communication with artists, leads, producers, and technical teams.

• Ability to articulate image issues, necessary adjustments, and tradeoffs.

• Full accountability for work utilizing 3ds Max and V-Ray at a high production level from the outset of the role.

• EU passport or valid permit/visa to work in the Netherlands if based in the Amsterdam office.
