CFO – Financial Director, International Payments Business

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Oversee treasury and cash flow management across various banks, payment service providers (PSPs), legal entities, and currencies; develop cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity in real-time.

• Create management reports including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and indirect Cash Flow, consolidated across different entities, regions, or business divisions.

• Establish and nurture relationships with banks, PSPs, auditors, and legal/compliance advisors.

• Manage payment routes, settlements, commissions, rolling reserves, chargebacks, and reconciliation processes.

• Define the requirements for reporting and internal finance tools (CRM/ERP/BI) as part of the finance function's responsibilities.

• Support corporate structure, legal entity management, and ensure compliance readiness across various jurisdictions.

• Serve as a financial partner to the owners on critical business decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent, hands-on experience (within the last 2-3 years) in the Russian market: specifically in payment routes, banking, compliance, and regulatory constraints. Experience prior to 2022 is insufficient.

• Direct ownership of treasury and cash flow management: overseeing liquidity across multiple banks, PSPs, entities, and currencies.

• Background in payments, fintech, PSP, iGaming/betting/gambling, high-risk merchant business, forex/brokerage, or crypto payments (with a strong emphasis on compliance and treasury functions).

• Experience with multi-jurisdictional structures: managing several legal entities, banks, currencies, and regulatory environments.

• Proficient in navigating incomplete data and unstructured processes, with the capacity to create clarity from the ground up.

• **Nice to Have:**

• Experience in iGaming, betting, or affiliate/marketing holding structures.

• Familiarity with Cyprus, CIS, Canada, Hong Kong, Curaçao, Anjouan, or EU regulations.

• Experience in establishing a finance function from the ground up or managing a small team.

• Experience in automating reporting processes or implementing BI/dashboard tools.

• Proficiency in English for effective communication with banks, PSPs, and auditors.

• Experience in a lean international company with hands-on involvement in daily operations.
