📋 Description

• Financial Strategy & Leadership: Take charge of vCluster Labs' finance and accounting operations, overseeing the complete financial operating system. You will establish the financial strategy that supports our journey towards sustainable, capital-efficient growth.

• Hands-On FP&A and Modeling: Directly manage FP&A responsibilities instead of delegating them to a team. You will develop and sustain forecasts, financial models, and the planning process independently, ensuring clear success criteria and robust, defensible figures.

• Accounting & Compliance Oversight: Ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting while guiding the organization through audits, tax compliance, and month-end closures. You may hire one additional person to assist with the accounting function, but you will maintain direct ownership of the financial narrative and controls.

• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Act as the CEO's primary collaborator during fundraising efforts, leading due diligence preparations and crafting the financial narrative that drives successful deals. You will forge the relationships and develop the materials necessary for future funding rounds.

• Executive & Board Partnership: Serve as the main financial escalation contact for the executive team and engage with the Board of Directors, translating financial limitations into actionable business plans.

• Cross-Functional Influence: Function as the financial advocate in Product and Sales discussions, utilizing unit economics and efficiency metrics to influence the roadmap and market entry strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Deep Financial Expertise: You possess strong technical knowledge in corporate finance, accounting (GAAP), and SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC), allowing you to engage confidently in complex financial discussions with anyone in the organization.

• Executive-Level Leadership: You have experience operating at the CFO or VP Finance level in a high-growth startup or SaaS environment, and you understand how to cultivate a culture of transparency and fiscal responsibility within the finance function from the top down.

• Fundraising Track Record: You have either led or played a crucial role in fundraising initiatives, demonstrating a history of managing due diligence and fostering investor relationships that withstand pressure.

• A True Operator Mindset: You are experienced enough to set strategic direction while remaining willing to build the financial model independently. FP&A responsibilities remain yours to oversee, even as you expand the broader team.

• Communication Skills: You excel at translating intricate financial concepts for engineers, VCs, and C-suite executives alike, tailoring the conversation's complexity to suit the audience.

• Bonus points for: CPA or CFA Designation, International Subsidiary Experience, Financial Systems Implementation, Distributed Team Experience.
