This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior design personnel to enhance CFD skills related to data center design and construction.

• Engage in the design of a diverse range of projects through practical application.

• Function as a member of the Engineering Team and maintain close interactions with the Project Management Team.

• Generate construction documents.

• Develop and revise project specifications.

• Support the construction administration process.

• Take part in the complete CFD analysis documentation process from initiation to validation.

• Work with design teams to refine simulation goals and set up simulation prerequisites and initial conditions.

• Recognize challenges and suggest modifications to design parameters or simulation setups.

• Coordinate activities among design, project management, and clients.

• Conduct technical discussions with clients, present simulation results, interpret findings, and offer insights from CFD analysis.

• Validate CFD results through advanced analytical methods.

• Review discrepancies and recommend solutions to enhance simulation accuracy and project outcomes.

• Prepare progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Update and maintain shop drawing and RFI logs.

• Utilize company tools to manage personal hours.

• Employ AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency and quality of work.

• Complete assigned tasks and deliverables punctually and within budget.

• May act as trade lead on routine, limited-scope projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering.

• Three to five years of experience in a consultancy environment.

• Proficiency in fluid mechanics principles, including boundary layers, laminar flows, and fundamental heat transfer.

• Familiarity with finite volume and finite element methods in CFD.

• Understanding of primary turbulence models and their applications.

• Experience with CFD software and reviewing drawings in AutoCAD/Revit.

• Experience with data-center-specific CFD tools, particularly Reality DC Design by Cadence or similar tools like TileFlow, CoolSim, or Autodesk CFD.

• Proficiency in using general CFD software such as Star CCM+ for both steady-state and transient simulations.

• Experience in 3D modeling and creating complex CAD designs for CFD modeling.

• Preferred skills in JAVA or Python scripting, along with familiarity with Linux and HPC systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment through effective communication, organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness.

• Capacity to interpret CFD results and communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.

• Ability to adhere to company and site safety protocols.

• Capable of analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.

• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10%, potentially to any or all 50 US states.
