Certified Public Accountant – Client-facing Presence, Accounting Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a direct point of contact for clients, delivering financial results and addressing inquiries during calls or video conferences.

• Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of small to medium-sized business clients.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, which includes invoicing, processing payments, and following up on collections.

• Prepare and present financial statements such as P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Supervise the month-end close process for assigned clients, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

• Maintain precise, audit-ready records in QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems used by clients.

• Proactively identify and report discrepancies, unusual transactions, or process deficiencies to management.

• Communicate effectively in English with team members and clients based in the U.S.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated advanced bookkeeping skills, capable of managing a client's financial records independently across multiple accounts.

• Experience in teaching or clarifying finance and accounting concepts directly to clients.

• A degree or credential in education or teaching, with finance or accounting as a secondary focus.

• Proficient in presenting financial data and reports in a clear manner to audiences without technical knowledge.

• Formal education or training in accounting.

• Fully at ease with video calls and client-facing interactions as a standard part of the role.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Expertise in QuickBooks Online and a quick learner of new accounting platforms.

• Previous experience working remotely for a U.S.-based organization is preferred.

• Experience managing multiple clients concurrently in an outsourced or multi-client accounting setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP as it applies to small business financial reporting is preferred.

• Ability to communicate directly in English with U.S.-based team members and clients.

• Availability to work during U.S. business hours.
