Certified Pharmacy Technician – Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Handle a high volume of incoming calls from existing patients and address their inquiries.

• Collect outstanding patient balances when payments are due.

• Deliver outstanding customer service in a confidential, phone-based pharmacy setting.

• Act as an intermediary between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on behalf of patients.

• Collaborate with technicians, pharmacists, and specialists to guarantee superior patient care.

• Maintain patient records with precision, ensuring confidentiality is upheld.

• Provide additional support during peak patient call periods.

• Assist patients by answering their questions over the phone.

• Communicate and engage in accordance with AnewHealth’s Core Values.

• Perform other assigned responsibilities as required.

• Interact with patients, physicians, and healthcare facilities via phone while efficiently navigating various pharmacy software systems.

• Travel may be necessary for organizational or departmental events, team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and client interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintenance of a current certification is necessary.

• Must hold a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment is preferred.

• Comfortable working in a fully remote and/or phone-based setting.

• Proficient in using computer equipment, technology, and various software applications.

• Excellent customer service abilities when serving doctors' offices, pharmacists, and patients over the phone.

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices and medications.

• Understanding of proper procedures for prescriptions, clarifications, and transfers.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional prioritization and organizational capabilities.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

• Ability to think critically and document relevant details in compliance with state and federal regulations.
