Certified Epic Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Plan and implement all aspects of the software application lifecycle for applications that support hospitals and outpatient clinics.

• Oversee the design, construction, testing, and deployment of the Epic Electronic Health Record and associated IT systems.

• Install and deploy system updates, service packs, and version upgrades.

• Drive process enhancement initiatives and maintain a strategic roadmap for future system advancements.

• Develop and oversee system control and application configuration data.

• Facilitate integrated workgroups spanning application and operational teams.

• Conduct thorough analyses of workflows, data collection, reports, and technical challenges related to the Epic EHR.

• Spot opportunities for standardization and process improvements, making informed build decisions.

• Organize, prioritize, and implement requests for system enhancements.

• Ensure that interfaced data satisfies business requirements while maintaining data integrity and security.

• Uphold Epic Gold Stars and Honor Roll criteria within the application.

• Assess Community Connect needs and its integration with design processes.

• Engage in governance committees and gain proficiency in additional applications, including Data Courier.

• Design and conduct small to medium-scale application testing, while supporting larger testing efforts.

• Troubleshoot, identify root causes, and document application and system issues; escalate concerns and provide status updates.

• Manage systems to ensure compliance with service level agreements.

• Collaborate with caregivers, system users, vendors, team leaders, management, infrastructure teams, and cross-functional groups.

• Assist with user training and mentor Application Analyst Level I staff.

• Provide reporting on business and system performance.

• Manage small-scale projects and fulfill project management deliverables.

• Create system documentation and draft minor changes to documentation policies and procedures.

• Support the organizational vision, mission, values, Lean continuous improvement, safety, confidentiality, compliance, and customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience and successful professional background may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.

• Epic certification in one application.

• Must complete Epic certification training if not already certified in the latest version of the Epic EHR product.

• Must successfully pass the Epic certification exam within three months of completing Epic certification training courses.

• Ability to meet St. Charles Health System driving criteria.

• Willingness to travel to business functions, training sessions, meetings, and all St. Charles Health System locations.

• Minimum of four (4) years of paid experience, including two (2) years as an Epic Analyst.

• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting, encompassing systems and procedure analysis, project management, system support, or operational experience in a business or clinical environment.

• Capacity to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Capability to multitask and work autonomously.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers, peers, vendors, physicians, caregivers, and management.

• Ability to engage with a diverse population and professionally represent SCHS.

• Knowledge of design principles and application design features and limitations.
