Center Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the comprehensive management of all elements within the Center.

• Supervising the planning and execution of all CIEE programs.

• Leading, supporting, and nurturing the core team of the Center.

• Guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and participant satisfaction.

• Academic Program: Administer internship opportunities, including the hiring, management, and development of academic faculty.

• Student Services: Ensure the creation and oversight of student services, including visa processing and orientation.

• Hold overall responsibility for all Center staff and faculty.

• Ensure adherence to CIEE standards regarding health, safety, and security.

• Oversee the management of student evaluation processes.

• Act as the managing director of the legal entity and undertake associated responsibilities.

• Ensure the operations team meets objectives related to facility operations.

• Formulate and execute strategies to enhance awareness of CIEE’s mission and objectives within the San Juan community.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of experience in a leadership capacity within study abroad, international educational exchange, or a similar higher education environment.

• A Ph.D. is preferred, but a master’s degree is essential.

• Willingness to develop personally, as well as enhance our client group and our Company.

• Relevant professional experience in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

• Proven capability to build and lead teams through complexities and challenges in a dynamic environment.

• Demonstrated skill in managing teams and achieving significant results.

• Proven experience in budget development and management, ensuring compliance.

• Exceptional service skills and sound judgment.

• Comprehensive knowledge and firsthand experience with U.S. and local academic institutions, including their cultures and processes.

• Ability to earn the trust and confidence of multiple stakeholders and effectively address a range of sensitive issues.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Exemplary representative of CIEE and its mission and initiatives.
