This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct prompt evaluations of patient medical records to guarantee precise and comprehensive documentation.
• Collaborate with providers and coders to ensure that charts accurately represent patient complexity.
• Educate and engage with healthcare providers.
• Review medical records to confirm complete and accurate documentation of all pertinent diagnoses and procedures.
• Initiate and finalize queries as necessary.
• Comply with guidelines established by ACDIS, AAPC, and AHIMA.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in line with HIPAA regulations.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare business.
• Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues, and management.
• Effectively utilize software applications based on client specifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical documentation.
• Current RN license or graduation from medical school with at least 5 years of acute care experience preferred; some clients may necessitate RN certification.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess the medical record effectively.
• Proficient in using a PC for medical record reviews along with expertise in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Capable of communicating effectively with e4health management and clients.
• CCDS or CDIP certification is preferred.
• A BSN, in addition to the RN license, is preferred.
