This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Achieves outcomes through the leadership of cross-functional teams and departments within the Business Unit.
• Accountable for the final results of designated workstreams; aids in planning and policy formulation in assigned domains.
• Merges subject matter expertise with industry insights in a specific area.
• Assists in creating standards and operational practices.
• Designs and oversees category projects, programs, and strategic initiatives related to Telecom, Broadcast Technology, and Information Technology expenditures.
• Oversees all databases pertaining to indirect category spending.
• Supplies indirect category quotations, engages in price negotiations, and processes order requests.
• Keeps records of all sourcing inquiries, including initial quotes, business cases, completed contracts, and supplier terminations.
• Ensures thoroughness and precision by employing top-tier sourcing and procurement methodologies, such as the seven-step strategic sourcing process, Baselining analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, and other procurement best practices.
• 3–6 years of experience in category management (covering Marketing & Sales, Legal, Facilities, Corporate, and other relevant indirect categories) within a procurement or strategic sourcing role.
• Proven ability to lead a category team to generate savings, enhance the supply base, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Track record of achieving cost reductions through targeted goals and execution for over $15 million in category spending.
• Experience in managing procurement projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a similar field.
• Background in working with a technology or broadcast organization.
